Drummer

Heather DeRigo has had Drumming and Rhythm pulsing in her blood since an early age.  She grew up in a family of professional and touring musicians, her father a highly respected drummer.

Heavily influenced by Blues, Funk, and Smooth Jazz musical styles, she played set drums in various bands in New York and Florida early on in her drumming career.

A highly passionate and creative drummer, she now merges her abilities with African Rhythms as a Drum Circle Facilitator.  Heather is an independent contractor with Drummagic (www.drummagic.net).  She also offers group classes and private instruction on the Djembe Drum as well as lessons on the drum set.

Heather also is co-founder of “Drum-ergy” – a drumming program combined with the uplifting and healing energies of Reiki and Quantum Touch.

With her enthusiastic spirit and flair for creativity, she brings over 25 years of drumming experience and over 12 years of teaching experience.
